NEDDIE
Neddie.co is a social impact platform bringing nonprofits, donors, and businesses together.
As a UX/UI Design intern for startup company, Neddie, I helped design and build a platform accessible to both nonprofits and individual donors.
My Role
UX/UI Design Intern
I joined the Neddie team in June of 2020 as a UX/UI Design Intern for 6 months. During my time there, I was given the opportunity to design pages and flows for the Neddie.co platform. I had the pleasure of seeing my designs shipped in the site’s launch.
My task as a designer was to design for two main user groups: nonprofits and potential donors.
Some of the pages and user flows I designed for Neddie’s desktop & mobile site include:
Donation pages
Customization & editing for Nonprofit Profile pages
Adding & editing fundraising campaigns
Nonprofit volunteering calendar & registation
Subscriptions FAQ and product pricing
You can see my designs on the live Neddie site here.
Mockups
Donate Pages
Donors could donate to specific fundraising campaigns or to the nonprofit directly.
In the following examples a donor user is donating to the nonprofit BellyFull and will use the card on the right to complete the transaction.
Editing a Nonprofit’s Donor-Facing Profile Information
Neddie needed a place for Nonprofits to be able to edit their profile pages directly on the platform. I created simple forms to help Nonprofits easily edit their information to appeal to potential donors.
Adding & Editing Fundraising Campaigns
Nonprofits needed a way in which to create and edit fundraising campaigns directly on their platform. Because campaigns are featured on the Nonprofit Profile page, I designed a simple form to help create and edit campaigns.
I included fields with important information that needed to be included in Campaigns including fundraising goal amounts, dates, and adding a related image.
Volunteer Opportunities Calendar & Sign-Up
A highly-requested feature from nonprofits was a calendar listing for upcoming volunteer opportunities. Nonprofits wished for users to be able to register as volunteers from this page. Users would be able to access the Volunteer Opportunities page by clicking on “Volunteer” section of the Nonprofit’s profile page.
For the design of this user flow, I tried to find the best way to display all the relevant information that a potential volunteer might want to see. I also had to figure out the best way to make this design responsive to smaller devices.
Subscriptions FAQ and Product Pricing
After Neddie’s launch in September 2020, the site was in need of a page that listed Neddie’s subscription pricing models as well as a FAQ page for interested nonprofits and businesses.
